DIY Nudge Switchboard Mapping

A simple nudge-based solution used to depict which switch corresponds to which device in a room. It eliminates not just confusion but also unnecessary power consumption

  • It uses colour codes to depict devices/outlets “Near, Further and Farthest” from the switchboard
  • Additionally, each switch has a fan/light/socket icon stuck on it, of the relevant colour.

How to do switchboard mapping?

  • Step 1 - Make a list of all switches and the devices or outlets in your household.

  • Step 2 - Design stickers to map the switchboard.Use colour codes to depict devices/outlets “Near, Further and Farthest” from the switchboard. Then design fan/light/socket icons of the relevant colours for each switch.
