The problem we want to solve is treating of Sewage. Sewage disposal is a major problem in developing countries as many people in these areas don’t have access to sanitary conditions and clean water.Untreated sewage water in such areas can contaminate the environment and cause diseases such as diarrhoea.Sewage is treated in water treatment plants and the waste is often disposed into the sea.

Investigate
Huge quantities of untreated sewage was let into Cooum river at Thiruverkadu in 2019. Discharge pipe of the sewage is hardly 500m away from Thiruverkadu Bus Depot and hundreds of people pass by the adjacent Thiruverkadu salai daily. A resident of that locality said that the officials inspected the spot in July and took some photos but no further actions was taken.
